Dave Swift has featured on the local and county table tennis for many years, he was an enthusiastic character always looking to promote the game and to welcome new players.

He played in the top divisions for many years with his classic defensive style and was often selected for inter-league matches and was well ranked in the England Veterans circuit. 

He ran the league side for over 30 years,  He was also a good coach and did a tremendous amount to encourage the playing of table tennis in the local area.  His wife, Dot, was very supportive and tolerant. We are grateful to both of them.
